In Livigno, for the traditional July event, last year’s appreciated track is confirmed

The countdown is now in full swing for the new edition of the Brooks Stralivigno, which is set to animate the third weekend in July, in the heart of the summer season. The traditional appointment with the 21 km, which has become a symbol of the locality and its sporting soul, has long been one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the year, both by runners from all over Italy, who reach Little Tibet from every corner of the country, and by the numerous local athletes and fans.

Given the success of the last edition, which presented a spectacular change to the historical route of the race, also in 2024 the runners will be able to enjoy this uniqueness, thanks to the confirmation of the two additional kilometres of trail, to be run in the wonderful uncontaminated nature of Livigno, right in the final stretch. A further opportunity to enjoy the scenic beauty of the location and the direct contact with its most exclusive horizons. The height profile of the competition, also confirmed, foresees a positive delta of 200 metres, with the start taking place at the ‘classic’ 1816 metres of Livigno, and with a maximum altitude reached along the route of around 2030 metres. The Aquagranda wellness and sports centre, as well as the CONI Olympic Preparation Centre, will be home base for the event, which in recent months is hosting athletes from all over the world in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

A dense programme full of alternatives, for all participants, who will be able to collect their bibs, both for the ’21 km’ and the relay, as early as Friday 19 July, at the dedicated desk in Plaza Placheda, from 1400 until 1900. Distribution will then resume the following morning, from 9.00 a.m. until one hour before the start of the two races, scheduled for 4.00 p.m. in Aquagranda, a facility where changing rooms, showers and a storage service for athletes will be available from 1400. At the end of the race, from 7 p.m., the pasta party and prize-giving will be held in Plaza Placheda.

On the other hand, the location of the Ministralivigno, the Sunday appointment dedicated to the youth categories, will change to the Aquagranda athletics field. Registrations open on the morning of the event, with the cadet category first to start, followed by staggered starts for the cadet, junior, beginner, puppy, baby and superbaby categories.

The registrations for the two main races, the “21km” and the relay, are still open and will be until 17 July on the Brooks Stralivigno website, and then, again, from 19 July onwards, only in presence, at the race office. An opportunity to seize, to spend an unforgettable weekend of sport, contact with nature, and sharing, in the breathtaking scenery of Livigno in summer.
