Taking part in Stralivigno means embracing the spirit of running and respecting the rules of the game.
Here you’ll find all the official information about participation details, the relay race, rankings, prizes, and much more.
Art. 1 – Organization
The “BROOKS – STRALIVIGNO” is a Trail Running race organized by LIVIGNO NEXT in collaboration with the SPORTING CLUB LIVIGNO – MARATHON CLUB ALTA QUOTA LIVIGNO. The event will take place in Livigno (SO) on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Participants can choose to run the 21 km individual race or take part in the relay race, where the course is divided into two legs of 10.5 km each, with the relay exchange taking place in the Tresenda area.
Art. 2 – Regulations acceptance
Participation in the “BROOKS – STRALIVIGNO” implies full and unconditional acceptance of these regulations by all registered participants. By registering, each participant agrees to abide by these rules and releases the organizers from any civil or criminal liability for any incident, accident, or damage to persons or property—whether caused by or involving the participant—that may occur during the event. The race will take place in accordance with these regulations, including any updates or notices that may be published on the official website.
Art. 3 – General information
The “BROOKS – STRALIVIGNO”, a foot race of approximately 21 km, winds through trails, gravel roads, and paved roads in the Livigno valley and will take place in all weather coditions (except in the cases outlined in Article 12). The race will start in Livigno at 4:00 PM, with a maximum race time of 3 hours and 30 minutes. A cut-off point is set 1 hour and 45 minutes after the start of the race, at the relay exchange area in Tresenda. Start and finish areas will be set up at Aquagranda (Via Rasia), roadside. Art. 4 – Participation requirement “Brooks – Stralivigno 21 km”
ALL ITALIAN ATHLETES: Participation is open to all Italian athletes who are regularly registered with a federation (Fidal, Runcard, or Sports Promotion Bodies recognized by CONI and affiliated with FIDAL for the year 2025) and in possession of a valid competitive medical certificate for athletics.
Medical certificates for other sports (e.g., football, cycling, skiing, etc.) will not be considered valid.
Athletes who are not yet affiliated may purchase a 2025 CSEN annual membership card (cost: €6.00, valid for 365 days from the date of issue), by submitting a valid competitive medical certificate for athletics.
FOREIGN ATHLETES: All athletes who are at least 18 years old and registered with a foreign federation affiliated with World Athletics or in possession of a valid Runcard are eligible to participate.
Participation is open to:
Athletes affiliated with foreign federations recognized by World Athletics. If not entered by their Federation, Club, or Manager, they must submit a self-declaration form confirming their affiliation.
Foreign athletes affiliated with a Sports Promotion Body recognized by FIDAL, provided they hold a valid RUNCARD-EPS (issued directly by FIDAL at www.runcard.com).
Note: The RUNCARD is renewable. If, during the document check, the RUNCARD is found to be expired, the athlete will not be allowed to participate unless they present proof of renewal.
In all cases, participation is subject to the submission of a valid competitive medical certificate for athletics (no other types accepted), which must be verified and kept on file by the organizing committee.
These athletes will be included in the official race rankings but are not eligible for reimbursements, bonuses, or prize money.
Foreign citizens residing abroad, who are not affiliated with any FIDAL club or any foreign athletics federation recognized by World Athletics, may still participate if they hold a valid RUNCARD issued directly by FIDAL (www.runcard.com).
Note: The RUNCARD is renewable and must be valid at the time of the race. If expired, participation will only be allowed upon presentation of proof of online renewal.
Participation is still subject to presenting a valid competitive medical certificate for athletics, which must be shown in its original form to the organizers and kept on file in copy by the organizing body.
These athletes may present a certificate issued in their own country, provided it complies with the medical screening standards required by Italian law, or they may use the “health form” available for download on the official website.
In accordance with current Italian regulations (Ministerial Decree of 18/02/1982), those engaging in competitive sports must undergo a specific and periodic medical evaluation. The required medical tests are:
Medical examination
Complete urine test
Resting and stress ECG
Spirometry
All medical certificates and test results must be authentic or certified copies of the originals.
As above, these athletes will appear in the official race rankings but will not be entitled to reimbursements, bonuses, or prize money.
Art. 5 – Participation requirements “Brooks – Stralivigno Staffetta”
Italian and foreign athletes aged 16 and older may take part in the Stralivigno Relay. Minors must provide written parental consent. Each relay team is made up of two participants. Teams must be formed prior to registration (the organizers do not match individual runners into pairs).

TEAM REGISTRATIONS:
The package reserved for sports clubs includes 1 free bib for every 10 registered athletes. To proceed with registration, please email info@stralivigno.it indicating the club name, club code, and the number of athletes to be registered. You will receive all the necessary instructions to complete the registration process.
If a registered athlete is unable to participate in the race, the registration fee will not be refunded, nor can the registration be carried over to the following year.
Bib transfers between athletes are allowed free of charge until June 30, 2025. After this date, a €10.00 administrative fee will apply.

Art. 7 – BIB AND RACE PACK PICKUP
Bib pickup will take place at the Race Office located inside the tented structure at Aquagranda (Via Rasia, 999):
– Friday, July 17, 2026: from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM
– Saturday, July 18, 2026: from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Art. 8 – TIMING
Timing will be provided by EvoData using chip-based technology. Failure to use the chip correctly—or not using it at all—will result in exclusion from the official ranking and no recorded finish time. Bib exchange is not allowed and will result in disqualification.
Art. 9 – SECURITY AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
In key areas identified by the Organizing Committee, medical staff will be stationed to provide first aid, and a team of doctors will be present at the finish area. First aid personnel are responsible for assisting anyone in distress, either using the organization’s own resources or through affiliated emergency services. Official medical staff have the authority to withdraw from the race any participants deemed unfit to continue. Rescue personnel are authorized to evacuate, using any means they deem appropriate, any runners considered to be in danger. If necessary, and solely at the discretion of the Organizing Committee, official emergency services may be called in to take over, including the deployment of a helicopter if required.
Any costs incurred for the use of such extraordinary resources will be the responsibility of the rescued person, in accordance with current regulations. Any runner who calls upon a doctor or rescue personnel automatically agrees to abide by their authority and decisions.
Art. 10 – CHECKPOINTS AND RUNNER CHECK-IN
Runner detection, either via chip timing or manual check-in, will take place at various points along the course. A course map showing the location of refreshment stations will be published on the official website. Control checkpoints will also be set up along the route, but their exact locations will not be disclosed. dall’Organizzazione. Art. 11 – REFRESHMENT STATIONS
Along the course, 5 refreshment stations will be set up, plus a final station at the finish line:
1) MOTTOLINO AREA – 2.5 km
2) FIOR DI BOSCO (ASL area) – 5 km
3) PONT LONCH (relay exchange zone) – 10 km
4) TEA BORCH – 12.5 km
5) TANA DEL GATTO – 16 km
6) AQUAGRANDA (final refreshment station) – 21 km
Art. 12 – CUT-OFF POINT AND TIME LIMIT
A cut-off point is set at Pont Lonch (relay exchange zone) at km 10, 1 hour and 45 minutes after the race start. The maximum time allowed to complete the race is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Art. 13 – RANKINGS AND AWARDS
The flower ceremony for the top three men and top three women will take place at the finish area immediately after the race.
No cash prizes will be awarded; winners will receive non-cash prizes.
The official awards ceremony for the “BROOKS – Stralivigno” 21 km (overall and age group categories) will be held at 8:00 PM at the Aquagranda tented structure.
For the “BROOKS – Stralivigno Relay”, prizes will be awarded by random draw.
Art. 14 – PENALTIES AND DISQUALIFICATIONS
Course marshals are authorized to verify compliance with the full set of race rules.
Any violations, including those identified through video evidence submitted to the Organization after the event, may lead to disqualification.The race director may disqualify a participant for any serious breach of the rules, particularly in the following (non-exhaustive) cases:
bib worn improperly
bib exchange between runners
failure to pass through a checkpoint
use of any form of transportation
doping or refusal to undergo anti-doping controls
failure to assist another runner in difficulty
abandoning personal gear along the course
receiving unauthorized outside assistance along the route
littering on the course
environmental damage or degradation
insults, rudeness, or threats toward race staff or volunteers
refusal to be examined by race medical personnel at any point during the event
Art. 15 – CLAIMS
Any complaints must be submitted within 30 minutes of the official publication of the results:
First instance: verbally to the finish line judge.
Second instance: in writing to the appeals judge, accompanied by a €100.00 protest fee, which will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.
Art. 16 – COURSE CHANGES OR RACE CANCELLATION
The organizers reserve the right to modify the course or the location of aid and refreshment stations at any time and without prior notice.
In the event of adverse weather conditions that could endanger the safety of participants, the race start may be delayed or canceled, the course may be altered and/or shortened, or the race may be stopped at any point along the route. Race suspension or cancellation will not entitle participants to a refund of the registration fee.
Art. 17 – INSURANCE AND RESPONSABILITY
The Organizing Committee of the “BROOKS – Stralivigno” declines all responsibility for accidents or damage to athletes, third parties, or property occurring before, during, or after the event.
For matters not covered by these regulations, I.A.A.F. rules and current applicable laws shall apply. The event is covered by third-party liability insurance (RCT). By registering, each participant declares that they meet the participation requirements and accept all race conditions. Athletes may not be accompanied on the course.
Participation is entirely at the athlete’s own risk.
The Organizers reserve the right to amend these regulations at any time. By signing the registration form, the athlete confirms they have read and accepted the official regulations of the “BROOKS – Stralivigno,” available in full at stralivigno.it. The athlete also expressly declares, under their own responsibility, that the information provided is truthful and agrees to release the Organizers, Sponsors, and Public Authorities from any civil or criminal liability for damage to persons and/or property caused by or resulting from their participation.
Art. 18 – IMAGE RIGHTS AND PRIVACY
Each participant expressly waives any rights to their image during the event and agrees not to make any claims against the Organization or its authorized Partners for the use of their image. By taking part in the event, all participants authorize the Organizer to use any photos or video footage taken during the event for promotional purposes, across all national and international media channels.
By registering, participants also consent to the transfer of their personal data to third parties for data processing purposes, in accordance with Italian data protection law (Legislative Decree No. 196/2003).
